Mawa Keita

Mawa Keita, is a dancer, choreographer, singer and producer of Guinean culture, dance and drumming. Mawa has taught students from all over the world based on many years of her learning experiences in the major schools of Dance in Sibaya Gare and Labayi Districts of Guinea Conakry. She has performed with Ballet Merveilles of Guinea and the celebrated dance groups of Gambia, KingFisher and Tamala as lead dancer and choreographer. Mawa has founded a cultural dance and drumming group, SAKELAY, that has performed annually in concerts and festivals in Abena, the Casamance, Senegal and Carnival season in Guinea Bissau and Gambia.
