Born in Salvador da Bahia, Brasil, Velly Bahia has trained in Afro-Brasilian dance and music for the past 25 years. A former dancer of Ballet Folclórico da Bahia, he came to the United States performing on Broadway for the dance company OBA OBA. He has choreographed for various dance companies and artists such as Aaliyah, and has participated in different music videos, film, television commercials, and theatre shows both in the United States and Brasil.
